This is a nice downtown lake with a .6 mile path around it. There is a cute coffee shop on the lake with outdoor seating, Black Dog Cafe. There are also several shops around the lake, one of my very favorites is Quarter Moon Imports.

This park offers over 15 miles of trails for hikers, runners, and cycling enthusiasts. I walk here often with my dogs.

Wakulla Springs is a treasure! You can swim in the crystal clear, cool, spring waters and leap off the tower. There is a cute little ice cream and novelty shop on site and the Wakulla Springs Lodge. Splurge and take the river cruise - you don’t want to miss the chance to see gators, turtles, birds, and manatees.

This midtown park is lovely and has several bronze sculptures and a small lake. McCord Park is right off of Thomasville Road and is next to a neighborhood that is well worth extending your walk to enjoy.

Apalachicola is a great place to spend a few hours. Drive around looking at the old houses, enjoy some oysters, have brunch at the Gibson Inn, and walk around the local park on the bay. There is more to do in Apalachicola, so check it out if you have time.

I took my kids here nearly every week when they were young. There is nice walk with lots of animals to see along the trail. There is an antebellum house, an old schoolhouse, and an old train caboose. There are also a couple of old farmhouses to tour. There is a little cafe and a zip line course too!

The Capitol Museum is worth a trip and while you are there go up to the 23rd floor in the new capitol building and get a birds eye view of Tallahassee.

This is kind of a dive, but in the best possible way. They serve vegetarian fare and the chef is amazing! I love this place and would probably eat there every day if it weren’t across town.

Neighborhoods
My neighbourhood is in northeast Tallahassee. It's a quiet residential area that is great for walking and has many restaurants nearby. My house is 30 minutes from the airport, and 30 minutes to Doak Campbell Stadium. It's 25 minutes to the Capitol.
