If you want an easy hike to a great waterfall The Cascades are about 15-20 minutes from the property just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Good spot to have a picnic. Good for all ages and a selfie with a waterfall? Yes!

The easy trail to Jumpinoff Rock leaves from the parking lot of the overlook near The Happy Place (less than 2 miles away) Great view/selfie spot! At first there's an incline that will make you wonder why I called this easy but it doesn't last long and evens out. The nearby Holy Trinity Church (5 minutes, across the street from Roadies Restaurant) is the first to have a mural by famed artist Ben Long. Sit in the small chapel and play the recording that's in the back as you listen to the story by sitting in the old wooden pews.
