MASP is considered the most important museum in the southern hemisphere. It is a short walk away from the apartment and, apart from special exhibitions and musical attractions, has a permanent collection with works by Van Gogh, Cézanne, Renoir, Monet and Picasso and the fantastic brazilian artists Anita Malfatti, Di Cavalcanti and, my favorite, Candido Portinari. Certainly worth checking out.

This no frills, traditional middle eastern restaurant offers the best of the region's cuisine in a laid back environment. To this day - five decades after its opening - everything there happens under the owner, Lebanese migrant, Leila's watchful eye. That´s certainly what keeps it authentic and delicious. We recommend the lamb Uzi: delicious, cheap and satisfying.
