Best at low tide as the tidal pool is full and the beach is exposed for lounging on.

Deal is a great place to visit but, to me, this is the jewel in it's crown. It's much bigger than it looks from the outside and there's so much to see and do.

Looking for a little escape inland on the way back to London? Fordwich is the perfect place to stop to have lunch, walk along or swim in the river!
It's a real treat to eat or drink at the George and Dragon (http://www.georgeanddragon.pub/) or at The Fordwich Arms (https://www.fordwicharms.co.uk/).
But my favourite experience in Fordwich is with Canoe Wild, where you can hire kayaks, paddleboards and canoes. They sometimes do guided wildlife tours too. https://www.canoewild.co.uk/
