Roath park is a 5 minute walk from the flat, it has a lovely lake with rowing boats, ice cream van, flower gardens and play ground.
Albany road and welfield road are also 2 minute walks with lots of shops, restaurants, bars etc.

Cardiff castle is easily within walking distance.
At the moment the castle has bars and food outlets within it, a very cool place to visit.
