Use your GPS app to find Prong Pond Rd (off Lily Bay Rd.) Turn onto Prong Pond Road. Follow the signs for the memorial, and after about 8 miles you will see the trailhead and a parking area. These back roads are rutted and rugged, a tough car with high clearance is helpful. It's a short hike to the fuselage of the plane.

Bring insect repellent, especially during black fly season.
Black fly season is at its worst between Mothers Day and Fathers Day. Be prepared. Mosquitos visit during warmer months, especially in damp conditions.

Deer and moose are plentiful, and can suddenly appear on the roads. If you see one deer crossing the road there is usually another behind it. Be especially careful driving at dusk and in the dark.

Hunting Season
Deer hunting season occurs in October and November. Be especially careful during rifle season in November. Always wear a Hunter Orange colored cap or vest if venturing in the woods. Pets too! Within Beaver Cove Association, the discharge of firearms is not permitted.
