Beaches
It’s a well kept secret that the Highlands not only has the most beautiful mountain scenery but is blessed with some of the most stunning beaches in the UK. Some of those are on the doorstep of inverness.
Walk to the cave, scramble over rocks and visit the beach cafe for a cuppa and cake. Extend your walk to take in the fairy glen.

Heading right takes you down to mouth of the Moray Firth. Good lunch stop at Clachnaharry Inn or the Jammy Piece. Head in opposite direction to reach Dochgarroch and mouth of Loch Ness. Watch the lochs change and take a break at An Tala cafe and gift shop or the boat restaurant further down the canal on the same side. Can also catch boat trips for Loch Ness with Jacobite Cruises here.
