Visit Historic Huguenot Street to learn about the village's 300+ years of history, captured in artifacts, manuscripts, and the building and churches turned museums on the edge of town. New Paltz is also home to the Mohonk Mountain House (not to be confused with the preserve) which is the perfect way to spend a day, whether that includes hiking, swimming, biking, rock scrambling, kayaking, getting spa treatments, or all of the above! With a lively music scene and plenty of bars to choose from, the town is no less fun once the sun goes down.
