You will not be disappointed with the Western Isles Hotel in Tobermory. As you leave the ferry, just walk up the steps on your right (just after the ferry car park) or (if it's a bit too steep), enter Tobermory and take the first right. Take the next 'sharp' right, halfway up the hill and you will come to the Hotel at the top. Open for lunches and evening meals with fantastic views of Tobermory Harbour from the conservatory.

Why not 'pop' across to Tobemory to see Balamory? The ferry departs from Kilchoan Pier regularly and takes just 35 minutes (tides permitting). No need to book in advance but always be there early (ideally 15 minutes) to ensure a place on board. Both foot and car passenger service available - subject to space!!

Sanna Beach. Absolutely stunning with crystal clear waters and an abundance of wildlife! Even on a stormy day it beats most coastal areas 'hands down' (we were married there so we may be biased)!!! Sanna, like Kilchoan, is situated on the edge of what was once a 'Super Volcano'!!!

Sanna Beach
Sanna Beach. Absolutely stunning with crystal clear waters and an abundance of wildlife! Even on a stormy day it beats most coastal areas 'hands down' (we were married there so we may be biased)!!! Sanna, like Kilchoan, is situated on the edge of what was once a 'Super Volcano'!!!
A must visit when here in Ardnamurchan. The most westerly lighthouse on the British Mainland. Why not sit and have a coffee and cake at the lovely cafe whilst overlooking the bay and keep an eye out for Sea Eagles, Dolphins, Whales, Basking shark and Orca's - all have been seen from here!!

A must visit when here in Ardnamurchan. The most westerly lighthouse on the British Mainland. Why not sit and have a coffee and cake at the lovely cafe whilst overlooking the bay and keep an eye out for Sea Eagles, Dolphins, Whales, Basking shark and Orca's - all have been seen from here!!

When driving from Kilchoan to Sanna you will pass through the mouth of the Super Volcano. Evidence can be seen when you reach Achnaha where you can clearly see the 'bowl' surrounding the top of the volcano itself!
