Downham Market is one of Norfolk’s oldest market towns located on the river Ouse. You will immediately recognise the Market place by the splendidly unusual majestic black and white clock. Downham Market’s nickname is ‘Gingerbread Town’ due to its buildings made from local Carrstone.
