Granada town is famous to nationals for two reasons (apart from the historic relevance): the university -in the last Erasmus report for European students interchange program, it was the first favourite in the whole Europe-, and tapas for free!

The town market.
It's very near the apartment. Recently they have change their selling strategy and not only they are selling fish, meat, and delicatesen food, but you can sit down, have a drink there and eat the food you buy. They cook it for you, with very interesting prices.
