Parks & Nature

I prefer Prospect Park over Central Park because its more like a park, low key and not as crowded. If you run or bike, one loop around park is about 3 miles/5K

Secret tip: The Staten Island Ferry is FREE!!!! Hop a ride on the SI Ferry as it goes across the Harbour with views of Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Governor Island and all of New York. No need to pay for a Circle Line Cruise or any of those expensive boats. It doesn't make any stops, it goes to Staten Island and back to Manhattan. Trip is about 25 mins each way. When ferry gets to Staten Island, get off and take the ferry back. Sometimes, you stay on the same ferry for the return. Just ask! There is a snack bar and restrooms on the ferry.
