Awesome place to have a soak. the water is thermal so very relaxing with a selection of 16 mineral baths, each with unique characterises and temperatures. There is also 8 private springs. They have also added a cafe and shop. It will take you around an hour to drive there from Hihi. Price guide at the back of the book.

Come ride the dunes or drive along the beach and find your own spot to relax without the crowds. look up dune riding for the tour operator for more info

Cool place to have a bite to eat. although it can be a little pricey the scallops are very reasonably priced - also the pickled eggs are good! they also do the best home made potato fritters i have ever tasted.

This is probably the best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand... very busy all nights of the week, book early. (closed mondays)

located at the top of the North Island, takes about one and half hours to drive to, roads are good and the path to the lighthouse is an easy walk with many places to sit if required along the way. well worth the drive
