This place has the best coffee I have ever had and I like to think Im a snob. I can let you try some and then go buy it if you live it too!

This place has an awesome beer garden. Great mix of healthy small bits or entrees. The food is consistently good, but noting culinary. Also a quick walk from my place that has am-MAY-sing views of the mighty Hudson River.

This trail isn’t so easy to get to by train. The trail head starts on the east side of the Bear Mountain Bridge. It’s like, right there. The closest train station is Cold Spring which is a few miles north of here and unless you take a cab, you’ll spend more time walking from the station to the trail than you would on the actual trail itself. The trail starts out just North of a fenced off area opposite the bridge. You’ll hug a chain linked fence as you start the trail and make what is a very steep ascent. The markers don’t appear until after the end of the fencing and from there on out, it’s well marked all the way up. There are three good scenic lookouts as you make your way up. Each offers a different view of the river below.

Getting Here

MTA is the best way to get into and out of New York City if you do not have a car, and even if you do. It is also a beautiful rail ride along the river. Heck, why even Go to New York City, instead hit ALL the rivertowns.
