Passeios turísticos

Must visit places when in Cascais
On Wednesday and Saturday mornings there is a market where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetable, good quality meat, fish and seafood, among other things. Occasionally, there are themed events on the weekends with live music, food trucks and activities for the whole family. In the evenings, there are nice restaurants to visit, Marisco na Praça and Rubro are my personal favorites. And it is walking distance from the apartment!

The Casino of Estoril is about 10 minutes walking from Cascais, and offers many forms of entertainment besides being a casino. Very nice restaurants (Mandarin - the best Chinese in Portugal), a lounge where many concerts take place (several of them completely free), Jezebel the nightclub (the only decent one in the area) and the gardens in front of the casino, beautiful place and where many events take place.

Next to the marina of Cascais, this park has everything for a day with the kids, some ducks and pheasants walking around a lovely forest, a playground for children of different ages, a field for a family picnic or playing ball, also a museus worth visiting. A nice option for a sunny day in Cascais!

Located next to the Parque Marechal Carmona, this modern museum is for those who would like to add some art to their stay in Cascais. There are some permanent and temporary exhibitions, surrounded by beautiful gardens where sometimes open air concerts take place. Also a nice visit on a rainy day (which almost never happens :))

Cena gastronómica

My favorite places to eat around Cascais
Great for families, couples and friends of any age. Right on the beach of Cascais, the views are amazing, the food is great (all kinds of Italian dishes, amazing pizzas, pasta and salads) and the service is generally quite fast. The perfect end to a day on the beach or when walking along the promenade!

The marina of Cascais is close to the center of the town, offers a wide variety of restaurants, something for everybody, my favorites are Gordinni and Brasserie de Entrecôte, but there are many others worth visiting, while enjoying a view of the marina itself with the luxury boats.

One of my favorites seafood restaurants in the center of Cascais. You can see and choose the food you would like to eat, the seafood is fresh and the variety is impressive. The ambience is very laid back and kind of noisy at times, the kids love it too, and they have some alternative dishes for the little ones who don’t appreciate seafood that much. And as an extra, the huge market place for the kids to run right in front of the restaurant.

The best Pasteis de Nata in Cascais, worth the visit, located in the centre of Cascais. You can have a pastel de natal there and enjoy the view to one of the main roads in Cascais or takeaway and enjoy these lovely custard tarts back at the apartment, on the beach, or anywhere else you desire.
