Jeni's is iconic - they're ice cream and gelato is decadent and delicious; a refreshing treat after a day of exploring.
This location is our favorite because there is shaded outdoor seating. Always a crowd in Jeni's, but the line moves along quickly.

This coffee shop is great, and very conveniently located. They have a good selection of premium tea and many coffee drinks. They also have a few premium sandwiches made to order, if you're feeling peckish.
A 2nd story lounge has comfy furniture and tables - you can be very productive at this coffee shop, if you need to be.
Also a nice place to unwind and have conversations.

They also make smoothies to order from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Favorite item: 3 taco sampler and veggie burger.

You could easily miss No 308, but it would be a shame if you did. This spot is great for a date or just to grab a craft drink. It's cozy and upscale, dimly lit - they handcraft sodas and have a wide selection of spirits. If you enjoy whiskey, bourbon, and other fine liquors...this place is worth stopping by. This spot can be slow when they first open, but late nights it's usually well trafficked. We like to get there right in the middle of the action :)

Some regulars still smoke inside - this place is definetely not for the classy drinker.

Tip: if you want to play pool, it's 50 cents per game. Darts are free!

The best kept secret of our neighborhood; within 5 minutes of walking, you arrive at a beautiful and open space for cycling, walking with pets, jogging or being close to nature.
I love walking here because it's flat, paved and easy in difficulty...a great place to clear your head and think. The Airpark also connects to Shelby Park, which has over 15 miles of maintained and natural walking trails, look outs, drinking fountains, picnic tables and other features.

This park is great; beautiful lake, miles of nature trails, and many flat grassy fields with seating areas. This is a great park to bring the kids, the pets, or even a picnic setup. Lexi and I do a picnic at this park once a month...so peaceful!
Tip: If you're in the mood for a bike ride, there is a bike rental station near the train tracks and nature center. $5 for an hour of cruising the trails is money well spent on a beautiful Nashville day.

Shelby Park GreenwayThis park is great; beautiful lake, miles of nature trails, and many flat grassy fields with seating areas. This is a great park to bring the kids, the pets, or even a picnic setup. Lexi and I do a picnic at this park once a month...so peaceful!
Tip: If you're in the mood for a bike ride, there is a bike rental station near the train tracks and nature center. $5 for an hour of cruising the trails is money well spent on a beautiful Nashville day.
