Our local shops and restaurants. We have a selection of good restaurants and an excellent fish & chip restaurant 2 minutes away from the house. Also two pubs both of which serve good food.

Kew Gardens is a botanic garden that houses the "largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world". Founded in 1840, from the exotic garden at Kew Park, its living collections includes some of the 27,000 taxa curated by Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, while the herbarium, which is one of the largest in the world, has over 8.5 million preserved plant and fungal specimens. These gardens are vast, so be prepared to spend most of the day there.

Use the underground and local red buses to explore London.

Buy a "top-up" Oyster card to pay for your trips on the underground and local buses. You can get these at most main stations and airports. The card costs £6 initially, then you load the card with money in advance. The cost of the card and any money left on the card is refundable when you go home.
