The tasty chicken sandwich has a real whole chicken breast, the waffle fries are robust, the lemonade is freshly squeezed everyday, the in-season peach shakes have real chunks of peach, and the service is clean, fast, with WiFi and very polite!

It serves farm-to-table cuisine in an iconic restored home in Stone Mountain Village for breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner. The menu includes vitamin-rich sweet potatoes in homemade biscuits, cobbler and hand-cut fries. Lunch offers a Panini menu or salads prepared with mixed hydroponic lettuces. The dinner dishes are prepared with that day’s harvest. They supplement their onsite vegetable and herb garden with those of other local farmers that don't use harmful chemicals and practice sustainable agriculture. They offer homemade desserts and free trade organic coffee, teas, smoothies and there is a wine and beer list. It's comfortable and friendly, with WIFI, soft music, and Friday jazz.

There's 15 miles of wooded nature trails for hiking as well as a 1 mile trail to the top of Stone Mountain, lodging, camping, picnic areas, the Grist Mill and Covered Bridge, fishing in a 363-acre lake and two golf courses with breathtaking views and golf pro shops. There are also historical and environmental centers and exhibits.

Throughout the year, thousands of visitors attend poetry readings, storytelling evenings, jazz concerts, dance performances, opera presentations, gallery exhibits and private gatherings. The LYRA String Quartet and the Callanwolde Concert Band perform several times a year.
During the summer months, the front lawn of the estate is set to stage the Callanwolde Jazz on the Lawn Concert series.
