One of my favourites. Beautiful sandy beach, tropical looking, blue green sea, grey hills and a short distance. To be seen to believe that the photos and paintings are for real. Very quiet

Beach and hiking trail. A small circular walk at the top of the second beach. Through swampy area so take care. Also past high cliffs. Wee rock house at halfway point where you can shelter and have lunch. First beach over a mile long and unspoilt. Nice wee duny walk too. Has toilet building. Second beach has stone stacks, caves on right you can walk in and mid to low tide, To the right walk past and through beautiful rock formations. Check out the wee shells and mussels on them. Don't get cut off by the tide though or you may have to climb up the rock for a few meters. River for the kids to play in at the second beach. Often Whales to be seen here

Sometimes seals to sea but often the local kids jumping of the pier in the sea to swim chase them away. That activity is only adviseable for good swimmers, the water can be very cold and it's quite a jump...Bayble island(s) at the backgorund

Really nice museum with interesting things to look at , feel, hear. SOem questions for the kids. Videos of people living here. Lots to see. Also a restaurant for smaller snacks and parts of the castle to be viewed when there are no guests or weddings

Open on Sundays. Not ill very late though, check online. Amazing home cooked food. Shared big table, meet locals and visitors. Don't go at prime time as food is made one order at the time. It is worth a wait . Amazing trip to it high cliffs, narrow road. Drive carefully

Beautiful starters like big prawns if you like seafood. Mixed starters are popular. My personal favourite is corn cakes but they are maybe too sweet for some. Hot plates are very popular mains. Mango pancakes is the best dessert there. Very friendly staff
