This restaurant is unlike any other in Oxford. While the primary menu item is pizza, this is not a pizza joint. The setting is "upscale." The tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, pork belly & pork jowl are all house-made. I had the eggplant and taleggio pizza. It was quite good. My companions order pasta dishes and gave them very good marks. Service was very good. Server had a good sense of humor and the ability to "read" the table. My cocktail was also done well.

If your looking for your traditional tex mex this is the place to go. Recently opened, el agave is a slightly modern and new Mexican restaurant located off of west jackson. Seems to be a popular choice for all ages.

This is my all time favorite restaurant in oxford. located off south lamar, Jinsei offers a great Japanese dining experience with the modern atmosphere to go along with it. i suggest getting there early to have a blackberry mojito and wait for a table out on the balcony where you can see the sun go down and the lighting bugs come out.

This will be my favorite coffee shop. It is popular for a reason and by no means a chain. It represents oxford's culture perfectly. I suggest the hame and cheese croissant with a bold dark coffee to wash it down with.

This is also one of my favorite coffee shops. Located on the square High Pointe has a great hipster like atmosphere that will keep you coming back for more. not to mention the best iced coffee in town. And I've had it all. The workers there are very nice and hard working. When they see me come in they already know what i want and wish me a very happy rest of the day.

The library, commonly mistaken for an actual library by parents looking through student credit cards transactions, is the most esteemed venue of nightlife in oxford. It is hands down the biggest baddest bar in oxford. Everybody who is somebody of all ages will be there guaranteed. Be prepared for a large cover if its a game day weekend.

This is in the general vicinity of the famous whirlpool trials which holds some of the greatest biking trials in the south. It is located walking distance from my condo and is a great way to get your day started. Great for dogs and runs.
