This is a traditional Japanese house converted into a funky cheesecake cafe/Singaporean restaurant. Sounds like a weird combination, but it works! The dishes are very good, especially for the price.

Meguro Hiiragi is a shaved ice and taiyaki (a classic street vendor fish-shaped cake snack with sweet red bean filling) cafe. It's very adorable, definitely a great place to try some traditional Japanese sweets!

This is run by a dignified, quiet man who is very passionate about what he serves. He introduced me to cognac and although his prices aren't super cheap (around 1000 - 1300 yen per drink), the experience is like diving into an old black and white movie. His bar is made of concrete, which is noticeable against the brick building.

Nice park to ride bicycle or picnic along the ponds, and bigger than most neighbourhood parks.

Jiyugaoka is a neighbourhood only a couple stations away, it is very lively, full of characters, and quaint. You can do as much shopping and people watching as you'd like. Don't forget to buy a little snack and relax on one of the many benches on "Green Street".
