My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the city (and the country). The decor is pleasant, the food delicious, they care about their business and run it well.

It was previously pretty hard to get good Mexican in the neighborhood (and in Philadelphia, except from down around 10th and Washington). Thank goodness for Honest Tom's. Good tacos and burritos.

They have really good flat-bread pizzas and burgers (beef and veggie), and I always get an order of the trio fries (ask for a little dipping mayo with them).

Buying alcohol for consumption outside of bars is not so straightforward in PA, but the bottle shop is a really good bet.

Beautiful, peaceful house and garden. Easy access from the house via the 64 bus, which stops a half-block away.

A fairly large community run co-op on Baltimore Ave between 48th and 49th Streets. They carry a good selection of healthy food and are a good choice of you need one or two quick items.
