Food Scene
Based in the heart of Walthamstow Village, Eat17 serves British food, sourced ethically, skilfully prepared and reasonably priced, in a relaxed and unpretentious setting, since 2007. Their meat comes straight from their own Butcher in Eat17 Hackney, who buys directly from reputable farms such as Packington Free Range in Staffordshire. The chicken and eggs are free range, fish is caught using sustainable methods and they make all our own ice creams, sauces & stocks on site. Fruit and veg is sourced locally wherever possible and they buy seasonally too. They also have excellent wines and ales, many of which are organic, and local beer on tap, as well as great cocktails to match.

Really fun quirky place to visit. Great place to get a drink and watch the world go by. Fantastic photo opportunities and really interesting talking to the people who work there and where everything comes from. Definitely worth a visit.

A small museum, very well set out, with just the right amount of information for each exhibit. Each room concentrates on a different aspect of William Morris and his work. Beautiful examples of tiles, wallpaper, fabrics etc as well as his book illustrations. Morris' Socialist side is also documented along with a small film. The staff at the museum were friendly and welcoming. And great activities for childeren

Drinks & Nightlife
Great beer and good service. A gem of a place for a weekend summer beer. Best bit is that they often have a food truck by the outside seating area at weekends. Also there are live bands performing regularly.

Parks & Nature
Epping Forest is a great place to visit for the day or you can even stay in the Campsite at Debden which is nice with plenty of facilities and things to do. Epping Forest itself offers lots to do be it walking in the woods on one of its many walking routes or exploring the hidden areas of the woods. If you do photography its great for that and has a load to photograph be it wildlife which there is plenty of, landscapes and hidden away ponds.
