Kolaren's is a cozy cafe open during the summer and has a wonderful location overlooking Niporna and Lule River. They serve lunch, dinner and the classic Swedish fika.

Beach
Storsand is a great sand beach that offers sunbathing and a good swim in the mighty Lule River, 4 km from Gammelstad Church Town. To get here by bus, take bus 9 towards Lerbäcken, bus stop Rådmansvägen, then walk back along Skiftesvägen and turn left up Gäddviksvägen. After the hilltop you turn right and follow the paths down to the river and the beach.
