This is a very nice neighborhood style coffee shop with big windows and lots of locals talking about the news of the day. I take my Mom here sometimes. Very inviting.

We actually haven't been to this one yet, as it's pretty new, but it gets good reviews and is very uniquely placed at the top of Mt. Tabor in an old neighborhood. Quaint but sophisticated. Open 8a-3a.

A nationally recognized Chinese Restaurant with a big menu and sometimes a big wait list. Very good Dim Sum for lunch and any creature you can think of at dinner.

Our greatest attraction was bitten by fire, but it is still an awe inspiring scene. There are numerous waterfalls on the Oregon side, spectacular views across the Columbia of Washington, and several stop worthy spot along the way such as the dam, Troutdale and Hood River.

Our greatest attraction was bitten by fire, but it is still an awe inspiring scene. There are numerous waterfalls on the Oregon side, spectacular views across the Columbia of Washington, and several stop worthy spot along the way such as the dam, Troutdale and Hood River.
Placed in the center of Washington Park, one of the largest in-city parks in the United States, The Rose Garden is a Victorian style botanical garden, boasting hundreds of rare varieties and wonderful views of downtown and Mt. Hood beyond. With its proximity to downtown, the Japanese Gardens and Portland Zoo, this is a great place to set your base of operations for the day.

One of the Portland Must-Sees. You can hike up to the top, but the best view is from the bridge below. If you're lucky enough to get a reservation, you can eat dinner at the historic Lodge.

Getting Around
The No. 2 bus will take you the length of Division straight downtown to the west, or out to the suburb of Gresham in the east. For most entertainment purposes, you'll want to go westbound, but go east if you need to connect with the MAX line at I205 to the airport or elsewhere around the city.
