Excellent dining at an unbeatable location oceanside in Dundarave Park. Outside seating with heaters on patio; brilliant sunsets. Bit of splurge but it's such a great vacation dinner.

Off Marine Drive near Horseshoe Bay. Beautiful trails and even better views at sunset. Be weary that on weekdays, West Van runs summer camps for kids here. Excellent diving for certified divers.

If suddenly you cannot stand your hair (skin, eyebrows?) another second, this is a great salon and spa run by two London stylists who have opted for the good life on the west coast. Brilliant.
