The Prince Islands from my place

the Prince Islands

how to access there, what to see...
Well, you can Google the Prince Islands (Adalar) for all its history, sight-seeings, photogenic panoramas and streets and all... But let me tell you that you reach there in an hour from my place with 1 bus to Bostancı in 15 minutes and then the ferry for 30-40 minutes. Voila! Bostancı is the nearest place to the Islands so here we are just minnutes away!

Due to (not chronic anymore but still existing) water pollution in Istabul, you can't swim in Istanbul coasts except for the prince islands where the water stream keeps Istanbul's pollution away and preserve a clean sea there...

One of the many but the most famous church in Buyukada is Aya Yorgi where people take off their shoes to reach there if they had a wish🤞 It's a Greek Orthodox church.

There are no cars allowed on the Islands. There used to be horse carts but it was too stinky around and also the horses were not kept in good conditions by the business owners. So the city government replaced them with electric mopeds. But better you can with trekking bicycles to discover the island. There are a number of renting shops when you land on the Islands. Or you can walk to some distances too if your plan is not to go all over the island. But the bicycles are fun :)
