The Gateway to the Dales. This picturesque market town boasts its own castle built in 14th Century and famous for enduring a three year siege holding off the Parliamentarians in the 17th Century. Market days are Wed, Fri and Saturday 10am - 4pm. There is plenty of parking close to the Castle and Market but as this is North Yorkshire there is a cost. However, if you dont mind a short stroll to the High Street both Tesco and Morrison's have 2 hours free parking. https://www.skiptoncastle.co.uk/
