This is the closest of the two Grocery Stores....2.6 miles. The store is smaller than Brookshire Brothers and has no bakery or deli. This is our go-to for grabbing something we forgot.
Getting here on high season weekends might encounter heavy traffic, especially if Whitewater Theatre has a big-name entertainer.

2965 N. Interstate 35, New Braunfels.
This large grocery is 13 miles away. Go south on 306 and it takes you right to the store which will have absolutely everything you need. This is where we do most of our shopping.

This place offers amazing things to see. It is the area right below the dam. It is my understanding that they only open it on week days. Be prepared for some VERY cold water. The water coming out of the dam is a lot colder than the river further downstream.

This place offers amazing things to see. It is the area right below the dam. It is my understanding that they only open it on week days. Be prepared for some VERY cold water. The water coming out of the dam is a lot colder than the river further downstream.

We ate at Gennaro's in June 2021 and the food (Italian) was amazing. There were some reasonably-priced items and some were expensive. We ate on the patio and thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. You should probably make reservations as it seems to be a very popular restaurant.

We ate at Gennaro's in June 2021 and the food (Italian) was amazing. There were some reasonably-priced items and some were expensive. We ate on the patio and thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. You should probably make reservations as it seems to be a very popular restaurant.
They are less than a mile from the house on 306.
This is a typical "ice house" that serves some really good burgers. They are on wonderful sour dough buns. We have not tried any of the other items on the menu, but we certainly recommend the burgers.
