Walking
There are many footpaths in the area which form part of The Allan King Way. For an easy dog walk close to the cottage- turn right out of the driveway and look for the footpath on the left leading into the woods (past Little Oaks)
The Meon Valley Trail provides car free access into the South Downs, linking rural communities and showcasing the beautiful countryside of the Meon Valley.
It is the perfect introduction into the South Downs National Park, linking to well established long distance trails including the Wayfarers’ Walk and the South Downs Way.

There are many lovely country pubs in the area all of which are dog friendly. Denmead village has a great fish and chip shop, a Chinese takeaway and The Kassia Lounge restaurant which can deliver delicious Indian food to the cottage.
This is a community pub serving great food and pub is under a mile’s walk across fields or a short drive away.
