The World Heritage Trail is ten miles long and consists of 13 stages. Read all about it at www.varldsarsvleden.nu. We have taken on many stages and have chosen a favorite: Älgsjö-Bönhamn. It is also suitable for children (over 4 years) and it gives you the opportunity to both climb a mountain and take a dip in the sea.
A 4 kilometer long stretch along the coast that is characterized by extensive stone slabs that have been ground by the sea for millennia. An incomparably beautiful place where you can kill many hours with swimming, picnicking or walking around.

In scenic Bönhamn, time seems to have stood still. Around the small harbor, which nature on its own has ensured is well protected, the boathouses are close together. Bönhamn offers excellent hiking trails and a fishing chapel from 1659. Take the opportunity to have a coffee or lunch at Bönhamns Brygga and listen to the sea gurgling while the ice cream melts in your hand.

Högbonden's hostel offers unique accommodation in the old lighthouse keeper's residence. The lighthouse stands majestically out of the Bothnian Sea on a cliff next to a steep cliff. From here, the view is difficult to describe in words. Enjoy pleasant relaxation or go exploring on the island. Several memories of the lighthouse keepers' time are preserved.
The boat trip to the lighthouse leaves Barsta and Bönhamn several times a day.
