Easy:- generally flat, managed paths, stiles and wall gates to negotiate
Challenging:- Gradient being the distinction here
Adventurous:- open moorland; paths but rugged terrain; upland and exposed to elements for extended period of time requiring appropriate equipment

Coverdale
A beautiful Dale linking Wensleydale to Wharfedale
A great walk along the brow of the Dale overlooking Coverdale on one side, and the upper reaches of Nidderdale on the other. Lots of starting and finishing points eg. From Buckden up Gt Whernside, then continuing north to Little Whernside before descending into Coverdale nr Arkleside. Footpaths throughout but boggy peaty areas or springs can make it unstable underfoot, especially following prolonged wet periods.
