This is the best spot in the city to watch the sunset. It is about a five-minute drive from the unit. Definitely worth checking out one night. It is worth the hike up to watch from the "the hole"

If you like biking, the park next to the unit has a trail that goes all the way down to the lake. This is a cool way to spend a couple of hours walking around. Paddleboarding and boat rentals as well.

If you are looking for a hike, this will take a good 1.5 hour each way. Bring at least a liter of water with you as this is moderate to strenuous. But the views at the top are the best 360-degree view of the entire city of Phoenix.
