Going to the Visafslag (where the fish is bought and sold) is an experience. On Friday mornings early you can view the fishing boats arriving, unloading their fish, how the fish is sorted and bought and sold. Also a great store to buy really fresh fish: Habraken fish store. This is open Monday to Saturday.

Here they rescue seals which are sick or astray. They care for them and bring them back to the ocean when they are strong enough to care for themselves. Visitors are allowed to see the seals and sometimes be there when the seals are released.

A beautiful place to observe birds in the Haringvliet. And the observation hut is spectacular! It is also a beautiful bike ride from the beach house to the Tij.

This village has been completely restored to its former glory as a 17 th century fishing village. Beautiful. Little shops, galleries,cafes and restaurants and wonderful old houses surrounding the old harbour.
