Step back in time with this original 1890s Appalachian solar powered off grid cabin. The cabin has been renovated with all the modern conveniences: solar-powered and includes hot water, gas stove, full bathroom w/ shower, refrigerator, sleeper sofa folds out to queen size bed. With each stay fresh towels and linens are furnished. Kitchen, hot/cold kitchen sink, K cup friendly coffee machine and more! Covered front porch with bench and 2 rockers. Off the porch is a picnic table and gas grill.

Welcome to Bob’s Bridge, our Hidden Valley Hideaway. We hope you’ll enjoy sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee in the morning and watching the mist rise up from the stream the bridge crosses. Don’t be surprised if you see a flock of turkeys or a handful of deer wandering around. They appreciate the stone bridges and walls built by hand by Bob, who loved all nature. Close to the trailhead of the Brumley Mountain Trail, this cabin is a 3-mile hike from The Channels—a Natural Area Preserve home to a maze of breathtaking 400-million-year-old sandstone outcroppings and a rich, diverse forest ecosystem. The newly-renovated cabin offers the tranquility of the forest and proximity to some of the countries most awe-inspiring and well-preserved forestland.

Just minutes to Historical Abingdon, VA; 20 minutes to Historical Bristol VA-TN & the new Hard Rock Casino, Hiking & Biking are all nearby, 30 min to Bristol Motor Speedway! This is a 5 acre farm and the neighbor has horses, goats, sheep and chickens. The house is an updated 2 BR, 1 Bath 1940's cottage with new and antique furnishings.

Raven Ridge at the Channels, great views, hot tub!

Raven Ridge Lodge is a unique and wonderful retreat located on a mountain top in a natural rhododendron garden. It makes a great base for visiting the Channels Natural area. Take a hike, and then relax in the hot tub. The views are spectacular. My guests tell me my photos don't do justice to the mountain top. Come and see for yourself!
