Barn Stay at Shadowbrook Farm

Welcome to the Shadowbrook Farm Stay. Tucked in the hills of upstate New York, this 1700's Shaker barn has been restored into a beautiful guest house. It sits upon a two hundred acre working pasture raised meat farm. This barn was used to hold, and milk cows for two hundred and fifty years. Guests will have access to portions of the farm lands which are highlighted on the maps provided in the Farm Stay manual. If you follow the farm road, you are able to meet every farm animal on the property!

Our country suite is nestled on the 2nd floor of the horse barn of our gentleman farm. It features a one bedroom with a queen bed, open concept living room & full kitchen, a large bathroom with washer & dryer, spacious entry and a large deck. A queen sleeper sofa with mattress pad allows for an additional two guests. With Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort the backdrop at 1.5 miles away, it is perfect for a weekend getaway or lengthy vacation should the numerous area attractions keep you here longer.

Comfy cozy on the Funny Farm

Welcome to the Funny Farm Retreat! Relax in our cozy camper with river access, woodland trails, campfires, horses, beautiful sunsets, and wildlife viewing (including bald eagles often seen flying along the river). Dogs are welcome. We do have dogs on the property that may bark or get excited when guests arrive, but they settle down quickly. The camper area is enclosed with a picket fence. For everyone’s safety, please keep dogs leashed outside the fenced area and away from the horses and pigs.

The Writer's Cottage

The Writer's Cottage is a tiny white house on a country road; vintage, complete, and inspiring. Built in the nineteenth century, it's perfect for a solo traveler or a pair of travelers exploring the Berkshires and the Hudson Valley. If you like rustic buildings, you'll be a fan of the cottage; it's an incredibly cozy time warp. Queen bed and living quarters downstairs; airy loft up a narrow set of enclosed stairs. There's an orchard and lawn with grill, hammock and ironwork table.

Tranquil Retreat for Horse Lovers

Set on 38 acres, the home is influenced by Irish equestrians. Its owner Kelli spent time learning from some of the best horseman in Ireland who resided in their own “Hunt Box”or small living quarters connected directly to the barn. The large floor to ceiling windows allow you to experience watching the horses in their natural state. The space provides guests with the small, simple and beautiful moments of being an equestrian.
