Rata Karaka Bach on the Estuary

Relax and unwind at this wonderfully inviting well appointed two bedroom Bach across the road from the crystal clear waters of the Ngunguru Estuary. Stunning views of the estuary out the front and mountain ranges out the back with the added bonus of river access from the spacious back yard. Enjoy a morning cuppa or evening meal on the large rear patio overlooking the rear garden. Only a minutes walk to the local cafe, dairy, takeaways or the Estuary Bistro restaurant at the sports complex.

Sit on kayaks & stand-up paddle are available free of charge. Tidy comfortable cabin just meters from a lovely private beach & walking distance to cafes, fishing club & pizzeria. No road noise, safe swimming, kayaking or trips to the Poor Knights Islands. BASIC cooking only; BBQ, Fridge, plates, cups, glasses, etc. Great eateries near by.

Tui Bush Cabin

Take a short drive (approx 3kms) up the valley from Ngunguru to Tui Bush Cabin. This is where you can relax amongst the native bush, and listen to the tui's chatter from dawn till dusk. Our beautiful small wooden cabin comprises of a fitted kitchen with a 4 burner gas hob, convection microwave, toaster, jug, refrigerator and sink. A drop leaf table and chair. A double bed with sheets and duvet. Separate bathroom with flush toilet, basin and shower. Outside decking with table and chairs.

Set in a tranquil bush setting the studio is a comfortable space with a private kitchen, a contemporary dining space and separate (downstairs) bathroom facilities. There is a small balcony where visitors can enjoy hearing native birds such as the Morepork-Ruru , Tūī and Kererū singing in our private bush, some nights even our native Kiwi.
