Mount Hope Heritage Home

Welcome to one of the oldest homes in Mount Hope. This house was built in 1910 as the home and office for the doctor that served the people living in "The little town with a big welcome". James and Lucy Wilkins purchased this home in 1940. James was the accountant for the New River Coal Company having moved to the area in 1920s. This home has been restored to its original appearance reflecting the styles of the Victorian / Art Nouveau eras. Come and step back in time in this unique home.

The Little Green Guest House

We picked the perfect location for exploring New River Gorge! We actually live here and LOVE it. Over the last 2 years, we completely rebuilt this Little Guest House from the ground up while exploring and putting together the local's ultimate guidebook of the area. Our goal was to make a cozy and cute cottage to highlight why we love WV so much. We strive for eco-friendly practices because we want to see this place clean and thriving for our kids and visitors to enjoy for years to come.

The home is within walking distance of food, shopping and Plateau Medical. Inside you'll find a generously stocked kitchen, smart TVs in both bedrooms, off street parking, and a cozy welcoming space to unwind after a long day of sightseeing!

2 Bedroom Historical Second Floor Apt

This is a very large second floor apartment located in one of the oldest buildings in Mt. Hope. The apartment has its original hard wood floors and large ceilings. The bedrooms both have king size beds that are extremely comfortable. There is a space off the master bedroom that can be used for work, reading or even enjoy a 2 person breakfast while looking at the town. Being so old there are still flaws to the apartment. I tried to maintain as much original features as possible.

Out in the country but close to everything. 2 miles off of I-77, 1 1/2 miles off of US 19. 20 minutes or less to NRG, Summit Bechtel Reserve & Burning Rock. 3 miles to Prosperity dirt track. Rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing & rapelling are all near by. Skiing and tubing at Winterplace is 25 minutes via I 77 S. Plenty of parking for vehicles & trailers. Pets welcome inside up to 25 lbs. Owners nearby to assist if needed.

Cute 1-BR stone cottage close to NRG

When visiting the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, stay at this quaint stone cottage less than a mile off of Route 19 in downtown Oak Hill, WV. Things to Note: This little cottage has skylights upstairs, so light floods into this space from sunrise to sundown. Also, the mattress is firm. Finally, the hot water is provided via a tankless hot water heater, which has been known to cause water temperature variability.

We are seconds off of route 19 and 5 minutes from Ace Adventure Resort, the New River Gorge Bridge or the Boy Scout Welcome Center. There is a fire pit to enjoy in the evening. We are located 40 minutes from Winterplace Ski Resort with easy access to route 19 and I77.

This country cottage style home is located just 3 miles off Interstate 19. It is 15 minutes from historic fayetteville that is known for whitewater rafting and New River Gorge National Park. It is 10 minutes from Beckley. This location gives you all the conveniences of town but its tucked away in a beautiful setting that allows you to enjoy wildlife and a neighboring horse farm.
