There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs in the locality and part of the coastal path. Local seaside beaches are StBees, Seascale, Ravenglass (with its miniature railway) - all accessible by train or road. Ennerdale, Eskdale and Wasdale are close by; providing lots of areas to walk and explore.
