The Lundgren Tree Farm

Located on 40 beautiful wooded acres in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the Lundgren Tree Farm was founded by my grandfather Vic Lundgren in the early 1960s. Originally it was an 1880s homestead farm with a two bedroom log cabin and several out buildings. Over the years, my grandfather planted tens of thousands of trees on the property, painted hundreds of water colors and oil paintings documenting the natural flora and fauna, and converted a barn and other structures into additional bedrooms, an art studio, library and meditation room, and the Silver Dollar Pool Hall. As a lawyer, judge, artist and nature lover, Vic stocked the property with art, books, records and sculpture making the Lundgren Farm incredibly beautiful, inspiring and authentic. Just blocks from Lake Michigan, the Farm is a refuge for animals and artists alike, with trails, a fire pit, and rich solitude from city living. The log cabin farmhouse hosts two bedrooms, the kitchen, dining area, living room and full bath. It is filled with art, books, antiques, and a functional record player, organ and cast iron fireplace. The barn is not your ordinary structure, as it holds five seperate rooms - two bedrooms, an art studio, Vic's office and the meditation room. The open common area is rustic and contains a small workshop. The "Chicken Coupe" is a one bedroom outbuilding located behind the farmhouse, with a full bath (and one of the more modern sleeping quarters). All of the bedrooms have nice linens, wool blankets, mosquito netting (sometimes necessary) and antique furnishings. The screened gazebo next to the pond, is a wonderful place to read, eat or just sit back and listen to the frogs, birds and other wildlife that frequent the property.

Curt's Cabin

Kickback with the family and enjoy some quiet time in the country! Our cabin has 1 bedroom w/ a queen size bed & a loft that holds 2 full size beds! Enjoy a fully furnished kitchen & living room w/ a dining table. There's 1 bathroom that includes a washer + dryer. The front patio is furnished w/ a table & chairs for evenings outside! We offer a boat charging station on the side of the building. Curt's Cabin is only a ten minute drive from Peshtigo and Marinette, 20 min from Oconto or Menominee.

Sit and relax by the beach or in the hammock, then head to town for some shopping or dining! If you want a little adventure, float out onto the water in a kayak or tube! Enjoy the 100 feet of beach/water frontage from our backyard oasis! You sure will not be disappointed with our Michigan getaway!

Winding River Cottages-Pine Cone Cottage

The Pinecone Cottage is one of the units at Winding River Cottages on the Menominee. There is one other cottage and one house also on the property. This cottage is directly on the Menominee River, very close to Marinette, WI/ Menominee, MI. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, a full kitchen with full-size stainless steel appliances (stove/oven, refrigerator, over-the-stove microwave), and a living area with a 50" TV, chair, and a leather sofa with a chaise.

Watching the wildlife or a campfire as the sun sets. The UP has much to offer: Swimming, kayaking, and fishing the waters of pure Michigan or hunting the North woods. Town is a convenient 11 miles away, while Green Bay, Wisconsin (home of the Packers) is a mere 75.

Welcome to our old home made new. It's very roomy and unique - some old mixed with some new. A lake Michigan beach, Veteran's Park and the marina are just across the street, or you could enjoy the view of them from the large upper deck. Nearby, and accessible on foot if desired, are some quaint downtown shops and restaurants.
