Our place is in Ishiyama,just 13 min from Kyoto and 50 min from Osaka. It’s a peaceful town near the southern tip of Lake Biwa, with rivers, nature, and history. You can enjoy quiet stays away from the busy city, explore Ishiyama-dera Temple, or go cycling along the lakeside. Try amazing Omi Beef, one of Japan’s top 3 wagyu! Walk by the Seta River, relax in nature, and visit nearby spots like MIHO Museum, Hikone Castle and more. The room has warm lighting and a 240cm-wide bed for perfect rest.

This Kyo-machiya is a traditional Kyoto architectural style. It is a consecutive style townhouse, a maisonette type terrace house. Whole house charter for you. It is close to schools and universities and is in a safe, relaxed, local area with many families with children and students. It has two bedrooms, a shower , and a full kitchen. Capacity 5 adults. In addition, up to 2 infants who do not require a bed can stay free of charge. Kyoto City accommodation tax is required per person per night.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

You can also use wifi. The bath is about the size of two adults and uses Japanese cypress. It will be a very beautiful room just opened in January. Please try and stay at once. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

No details have been spared to ensure a unique and comfortable stay. The modern interior has been newly designed using locally sourced woods and materials. Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.
