The hand hewn log cabin was built in the late 1800's by Russian settlers and is located in the historic native/Russian settlement of Ninilchik. (An idyllic village that sits on the Cook Inlet, through which the lovely winding Ninilchik River runs.) 180 mile drive from anchorage and only 35 miles from famous Homer, Alaska on the Kachemak bay. Moose Cabin - Right on the Kenai River!

Moose Cabin is the largest of three cabins at River Rock Lodge. It has a fully equipped kitchen. A BBQ grill is on the porch. Sit and relax on the porch or around the fire pit and watch the river go by. There are 3 different docks to fish off of. Docks could be removed for the winter as early as September 15.
