Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Nature’s Nest

Unwind and immerse yourself in nature at this cozy cabin overlooking Timber Coulee Creek. Large living room windows and a spacious deck provide you with a bird’s eye view of the rippling river and many types of wild life. Deer amble through the property; eagles soar and keep an eagle eye on everything. Turkeys, squirrels, coons, and myriad of birds go about their business in this serene environment. Trout fishing is an excellent pastime for those who care to cast a line. Rest, at Nature’s Nest.

Driftless Glamping on a Bluff

Rustic camping in the Driftless Region on the top of a bluff in a 20ft Bell Tent ,extra tent with queen air mattress. Relax without having to pack, set up , tear down and put away when you get home, more time to do things you enjoy. Go trout fishing, walk or ride the Omaha Trail Tunnel, Elroy- Sparta Trail, or the 400 Trail. Necedah Wildlife Refuge, Buckhorn, Castle Rock, Wisconsin Dells, Amish scenic drive, and Wildcat State Park with canoeing down the Kickapoo River are all within 30 minutes.

Straw Clay Cabin on a Sustainable Farm

This Earthen house is made of sand, straw and clay. Nestled in a valley it is a peaceful and unique getaway. The cabin has four comfortable single beds and electricity, a wood stove for winter. Outside a fire pit and grill. A hand washing sink inside; and port-o-let toilet outside. You may be able to drive in (weather/road condition depending). We are licensed as a campground. please bring all of your needs, cooler, etc. Please arrive before dark. We are LGBTQ owned and operated. BIPOC welcome.

Connect with nature in the Driftless Area of SW Wisconsin, drive to one of the attractions from this central location including the House on the Rock, Taliesin, Devil’s Lake Park, and more. Bring your canine companion as well, there is acreage to roam.

Enjoy a small village's most iconic home only about 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells, Baraboo and Spring Green. This cottage-style home was built in the 1920s, and within walking distance to a few delicious eateries & bars. Visit Wis. Dells waterparks, Circus World (Baraboo), Devil's Lake State Park (Baraboo), House on the Rock (Spring Green), American Players Theater (Spring Green), Amish country (Loganville/Hillpoint), and more! Ridgetop Retreat

Enjoy the natural beauty of the Driftless Area in Richland County Wisconsin. This is a well-appointed, four season country farmhouse on a fully operational farm. The access to the Richland County snowmobile trails is less than 5 miles away. Goats and chickens are out your front door. Deer, turkey, and other wildlife are in abundance. All county and township roads are open to UTV traffic. Enjoy tranquil star-filled skies all year long!
