This cozy cabin sits on 80 acres of forest and field, about a 45 minute drive southeast of Fairbanks along the Richardson Highway, with a beautiful network of cross country ski trails and wonderful opportunities to view the northern lights from the front porch untainted by the lights from town. Harding Lake State Recreation area is just 12 miles south down the Richardson Highway. The Salcha Ski trails are a short distance away and start from the parking lot of the Salcha Elementary School

Our Cabin is a quiet, and very peaceful place. Due to its own private driveway, no one will bother you during your stay. The cabin offers a fully equipped kitchen, so you can cook a nice meal. We also have a grill on the front porch incase you prefer to grill. Both 1st floor,and the loft have a queen size bed. A washer/dryer in the bathroom just in case you want to throw in that load of laundry. Whether you’re on vacation or just passing by for work, our cabin can accommodate you well.

There is NO plumbing, but there is a small water system and outhouse. We built the Rocky Top AirBnB as an Aurora-viewing, winter-loving house: its walls are a foot thick, with radiant floors heated by an environmentally-friendly vegetable-oil boiler. At night, watch the Aurora from bed or the large north-facing windows. The large couch is a comfortable place to watch the low winter sun traverse the mountains to the south during the day.
