The Artist’s Retreat

The lovely Royal Victoria Country Park is about 10 minutes away by car, or bus, and 30 minutes walking. Southampton city centre is 6 miles away with buses from just opposite The Artist’s Retreat. The beautiful New Forest is 40 minutes’ drive; also accessible by train from Hamble then Southampton Central.

This beautiful and snug 1 bed cottage situated in the idyllic Royal Victoria Country Park, where you can explore 200 beautiful acres of Hampshire’s countryside from shingle shoreline, perfect parkland and mature woodland. This property also has the New Forest a 20-30 min drive away. Or if you wanted somewhere closer to home, there’s the charming village of Hamble which is walkable. The cottage location is also steeped in history, with the site being home to the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The unit is a completely self-contained extension of the existing property. It is has been recently built to a high specification, including a very comfy bed. It is located in the heart of Warsash village, walking distance from all amenities. It is ideally suited for a very comfortable, short stay. Wifi is included as are all utility bills. There is a lot of storage space and a private entrance from the driveway where there is space for 1 car to park.

The Old Hay Barn

Me and my Dad built a hay barn over thirty years ago to store hay, straw and feed for my horses. It has given me some great memories. Life changes meant I could not compete anymore. I created Rocket's Retreat in 2018. A holiday let . It has been a great success. So I decided to to create another. It is quirky, cosy and a bit different. I hope you enjoy staying as much as I have enjoyed the journey creating The Old Hay Barn.
