Retreat on Mound Lake

Come relax at this lovely retreat on Mound Lake! You can easily spend all day in the outdoors enjoying the lake, hiking, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding or lounging on one of the decks. Enjoy the outdoors well into the evening using the outdoor fire pit, new barrel sauna, or relaxing inside the large screened porch. Dock, kayaks & paddle board will be available from May through September. A 2019 Bennington Pontoon (50hp) is available to rent during your stay. Please inquire separately.

Escape into the forest at the Ursa Minor cabin. Built in 2017, this comfortable and tranquil getaway includes a full kitchen, bathroom with a cedar-lined shower, electric in-floor heat, a wood stove, warm pine siding throughout, and a spacious sleeping loft. A covered porch, fire pit and fully-stocked woodshed are right outside the door. Your stay includes access to more than ten kilometers of trails traversing hundreds of acres of private woodland originating steps from your door.

Our sunsets are lovely, and nature surrounds you. We are located on Long Lake which has no public access so it’s very quiet. Bring your kayaks for some amazing bird and turtle watching. Feel like swimming? Fairly Lake beach is 4 minutes from the cabin! End your relaxing day around the firepit!

The perfect solution for cabin fever! This romantic & private log cabin overlooks beautiful Diamond lake. Two queen size beds, one is adjustable w/massage. Hand-hewn rock gas fireplace, massage chair, fully stocked modern kitchen, wifi, YouTube TV (local channels & espn) & streaming. Enjoy the gazebo & hot tub next to the cabin throughout the seasons. I live across the street & clean and sanitize, so I know it is done properly. Note: Optional (additional charge) game room available.

Stoney Ridge Treehouse

Our tree house is on 50 acres in central Minnesota, about two hours north of the twin cities. The tree house sits 18 feet off the ground on a ridge over looking Rock Lake. Its surrounded by our 50 acres and 500 acres of state land. The treehouse has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, kitchen, a sitting area in both the loft and the main level. There is a wrap around porch on three sides and a deck out front, To access the tree house you will walk over a thirty foot covered bridge.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. A manager lives on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r."

The Lake Place is a brand new A-frame cabin built to share our favorite place with you! Make memories in the cozy living room with friends around the electric fireplace, climb the ladder to the 3rd story loft for the view or perfect kid’s hideout, or open the oversized patio doors to visit the lake, just steps from our back door! This rustic cabin is tucked away on 2 acres on Long Lake. The original log structure dates to 1858 with a new addition built out of repurposed barn wood. Enjoy a quiet retreat or a romantic getaway by the fireplace. Spend some time by the lake enjoying the fresh air and wildlife, or reconnect with family around the table playing games. Our cabin is the perfect place to re-energize and reconnect.
