Take it easy at this tranquil getaway in a small town nestled in the valley of the Appalachian mountains. Ten minutes from turnpike Exit 180 - Fort Littleton/McConnellsburg. Or a small hop off Route 30. This little haven is close to 2 State Parks. Meadow Grounds is wonderful for fishing and has a great tail to hike to Jarret Falls. Cowens Gap is a smaller lake, but has rental boats, fishing, a swimming beach, and 1 easy, 6 moderate & 5 hard trails to hike. Trails are on the All Trails app.

The 1780 Cabin on Main

A charming cabin built circa 1780 situated right on Main Street, just steps from Pubs and Restaurants and easy walking distance to historic Mercersburg Academy. There is a separate sleeping area upstairs with a queen-size memory foam bed. The lower level features a foldout couch and air mattress for additional guests, as well as a 55" TV and a wet bar and bathroom. Visitors have universally enjoyed the cabin's cozy feel. While there is no yard available, the town is great for walking dogs.

Walking distance to the Historical East Broadtop Railroad and Trolley. Short distance to Lake Raystown,and State College. Beautiful golf course within 12 miles. Grocery store and restaurants near by. Creekside Cottage is a lovely two-bedroom cottage surrounded by beautiful gardens with a back deck that makes you feel like you are living in a tree house. This is the perfect spot to relax and recharge. There are beautiful views of Back Creek from the deck where you can bird watch and hopefully catch sight of one of our local bald eagles. You'll feel right at home with this spacious kitchen that is well-stocked. Walking distance to Twin Bridge Camp. NO SMOKING NO PARTIES.

Enjoy downtown Chambersburg in this biophilic, sustainable loft, central to local shops, restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops. The building that houses the loft was erected in the 1890s, giving the space charm unique to the era. Wander down Main St get a feel for our quaint downtown. There is a rail to trail within one block of the space for exercising and biking. Chambersburg is a thirty minute drive to Gettysburg, and less than two hours from Baltimore and Washington DC.

Cozy country charm

My cottage has beautiful views from every side of the house and a relaxing front porch to sit and relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. It's a cozy cottage at the foot of the mountain with lots of privacy. There are no neighbors. There are horses here to enjoy watching them graze or feed them a snack. It's truly a nice getaway and still only a half hour from 3 local towns. For warmer weather there is a firepit, picnic table, grill and some nice shaded areas to relax.
