Horton farm cottage located on 40 acres.

Located a few hundred feet from the Iris gardens at Horton farm, a six acre garden space with over 1400 Iris varieties. Bloom season is April and May. The cottage was built in 1945 on my family's heritage farm. She's located next to the old barn alongside a small Creek. Inside you'll find a fresh colorful landscape of hand made cabinets, concrete countertops and furniture. The heated and Polished concrete floor is ready for farm life. You'll be delighted in the vintage items and local artwork.

Welcome to our Little Red Barn in rural Loomis. We love this area because we are surrounded by hundreds of destinations worth exploring. Whether you're interested in CA history, white water rafting, lazy lake days, skiing in Tahoe, farm to fork, or fine dining, then our Little Red Barn is a perfect jumping off location. Our barn features a completely remodeled guest suite located on the second floor. The suite has a private entrance and deck overlooking our but growing mini farm.

The surrounding nature provides a stunning and peaceful refuge. You feel as though you're a million miles away. And yet town is only a 5 minute drive, allowing access to anything you might need during your stay. We consider our land a sacred, healing place. Before we built on this property we gave special homage to the Native peoples, and asked for blessings from the spirits to live here. We have discovered grinding rocks, shards of Chinese pottery, and ancient fire pits on the land.

Fun and charming house with ginormous game room, bar, pond, hot tub and pool. Home has a downstairs primary suite. Secondary bedrooms are all on the 2nd level and include balconies. From the expansive foregrounds to the ultra private rear escape you are surrounded by beautiful trees, rock outcroppings and natural foliage. The rear deck overlooks the natural rock pool. The walking and garden paths take you to the year round paddle boating and fishing pond, and fire pit area.

We are 2 hours from Tahoe and 2 hours from San Francisco. Our newly built 400 square foot studio space is above our Garage/Barn. There is a staircase and may be challenging for those with children or disabilities.
