Are you ready to follow me on an unforgettable adventure? Traverse through ancient woodland as you hear the waterfalls roar & rumble on their journey through their rocky path. Feel the chill as you enter the 400ft tunnel... immerse yourself in darkness... lose yourself in mystery... Nothing can prepare you for the feeling of wonder you experience inside the caves & cavern - just don't forget your camera or your friends will never believe you.

Step back in time as I teach you about how this incredible landscape was formed through violent volcanic & glacial events millions of years ago. Unearth the long-forgotten past & understand how ancient beliefs in gods and spirits brought bloodshed to these lands. Learn of the hardships faced by men, women & children working in the many mills and the mines during the Victorian era and understand how Wordsworth's poetry helped to transform society.

This is a stunning circular hike that will leave you breathless at the beauty of nature & marvelling at the Lake District's history.

This is a dog-friendly walk so please feel free to bring your furry companions along!

We all know that the best travel experiences are when you meet the locals and get off the beaten tourist path. So join me, your new local friend, on a journey through the best scenery that England has to offer. I'm a 5* rated, passionate Lake District guide with a knack for finding hidden gems. Together, we'll discover sights that even the locals don't know about.

As an amateur historian with a love for anthropology (the study of human societies and cultures and their development), I'll share fascinating tales of history stretching back 500 million years. Learn how this incredible landscape was formed through cataclysmic geological events, uncover what our ancient ancestors found when they settled this mystical land and hear how the people of the Lake District impacted the lives of every man, woman & child in Britain.

Donde estarás

We'll be away from the main tourist hotspots of Windermere & Ambleside, instead, taking lesser-known paths around the Langdale Valley.

Suitable for those with a low-moderate level of fitness - no big hills but there are some inclines. The quickest group took 4.5 hours, the longest group took 7 hours with breaks.

This is a dog friendly walk - they'll love it!

Access to caves is via a tunnel of approx 130m x 2m wide. Head height approx 1.

Wow! This wasn’t an easy hike for me, but I’m fat, middle-aged and have an artificial hip. I decided to give it a go anyway and I’m glad I did. We never would have seen all the spectacular waterfalls and caves on our own in a week, let alone a day, and Cassie and everyone else on the experience was absolutely lovely (and patient - it took me longer than others to do some of the more difficult bits). I can’t emphasise enough how stunning this walk was. The Cathedral cave was a real stand-out, but everything we visited was gorgeous. It was a hot day, and everyone agreed it was okay to run over-time, so we ended with a jump into a tarn half an hour from the end. The cold water was SO wonderful after that long, hot walk. Cassie was a knowledgable tour guide with plenty of stories about the history, geology, and ecology of area, and the specific things we saw. We learned a lot. I would definitely recommend this.

I’m so happy I chose this experience! The route through Colwith National Park was magical. Cassie herself makes sure to engage everyone in the hike, ensuring how they feel all throughout. She was a very warm and lively host. The icing on the cake was that towards the end of the day, the whole group couldn’t hold back but jump in the lake for a nice, quick swim!!! Once in a lifetime experience. Would definitely recommend.

This is truly once in a lifetime journey. We visited two caves. The view was magnificent. The nature never fails to inspire and amuse me. At the end of the tour, we improvised and jumped into a small tarn. My journey took place in Aug, the mid of the UK summer. There are two items I would like to draw future participants attention. First of all, water. Though there is one or two places where you can refill your water bottle from mountain stream, as mentioned in the tour description, please bring reasonable amount of water. Secondly, time. In the description, the tour is supposed to finish at 3:00 pm. However, when everyone enjoy the journey... well, who care about the time anymore. We had a wonderful time and did not finish till 5:00 pm. In a nutshell, I cannot recommend highly enough.

I attended this walk as a solo traveler on probably the wettest day of the summer! However it was still a fantastic experience! From the very first message from Cassie I felt reassured and excited about the walk, meeting Cassie and Cosmos I felt very at ease. Cassie is a fountain of knowledge of the local area and fascinating to listen to. The places we visited are all stunning and really capture the imagination of days gone by. I’m so pleased I booked on.

This hike is incredible. We saw views that words cannot even express. Cassie covered everything from lakes, to mountains, to waterfalls, to quarries and anything you can imagine in between. The walking paths were nice and quiet so at no point did it feel like you were surrounded by tons of other people. My husband and I brought our dogs with us and Cassie was so good with the dogs and they really enjoyed the hike. We would 100% recommend this and would do it again if we go back to the Lake District.
