Escape to a place with breathtaking glacier and mountain views that is only 20 min from downtown but feels worlds away. This cozy 1 BR 1 Bath apartment attached to the back of our home, includes a queen bed as well as a queen pull out sofa bed. It resides in a quiet neighborhood 5 min from the glacier & is the gateway to outdoor exploring with incredible views right off the deck and many other trails close by. Newly constructed 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with full laundry facilities. Enjoy riverfront sunsets from the open-air covered deck, 25 feet above the ground. Both bedrooms have top/down, bottom/up black out window shades for a peaceful rest. It’s just a few steps to the river to enjoy passing wildlife at the end of the day, or take a stroll to the Mendenhall Wetlands trail, 300 yards from the doorstep, along a 3 mile trail maintained all year. The apartment is one of two on the top level.

Close enough to downtown without being in the middle of all the hubbub, we know you will enjoy staying in our humble home. Built in the 1950’s this first layer of our house cake still has some of the funky fun that comes with it, but if you can handle scheduling shower time this house has all the trimmings, private parking, home gym, small arcade, working propane fireplace, gorgeous artwork and a fully stocked kitchen just waiting to help deliver a fresh Alaskan caught meal.

Spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath home with 2 car garage. Just over the bridge from downtown on Douglas Island. Close enough to be in town in just a few minutes drive, but out of town enough to feel like you’re away from the busyness. Home is tucked up against the forest so you feel much further out of town than you really are. Amazing views of Mt Roberts and Mt Juneau from the front deck.
